Happy Halloween!

I hope that everyone had a safe and fun Halloween this year! I know I did!

My favorite thing about this time of year is getting dressed up and being with my friends! ...that and watching horror flix all month! My sister-in-law came up from my home town in Monterey Bay and helped get me in the mood for creepy-crawly-crafts!... And we got to share a few Chico-Favs... gyros(yee-ros), beer pong and Love Coast Pizza! Plus a trip to Sally Beauty Supply for fake eyelash glue and Matte Opi fingernail polish!

We had Scrub Zach Braff after a hard day at the hospital... and me Zombie Huntress!

As my first year away from home for the Hallowed season I had some difficulties climatizing to Chico-Halloween....

1. I didn't have a party! I have had one every year since I can remember and it wasn't the same without the usual month of party-prep! But it was nice to head to someone elses and be super chill!

We still decorate our balcony... the Most Brutal in Chico!

2. I went to a party in "The Zoo"... I was designated driver.... My first sober Halloween in 4 years! hahahaha! I still had my Redbulls and a very nice bartender gave me a free 7up! Woooo!

My man Phil was a Biohazard Zombie and
his sister Laura as a Wicked Witch!

BUT! All my nerves about being "out" on Halloween were thrown aside when we went to Club LaSalles.... and it was 80's Night! As soon as Madonna came on my spirits lifted!... That and seeing all the drunk college students making scenes!

Then we had the supreme evil of Donovan as Pinhead and his Steam Punk Bride Cathy,
who celebrated their four year wedding anniversary this Halloween! Congrats!

So... though this year was very different from my past experiences, I still felt the comforting glow of my Jack-O-lanterns!

Wishing you all a Happy Holiday season!

Love,
Linz!

Oktoberfest!!! .... at Gold Country Casino, Oroville

Happy October!

I have been frantically creating my Halloween Costume as a Zombie Hunter... BUT...

First Thing!!! The Oktoberfest at Gold Country Casino in Oroville:

IT WAS AMAZING! It is sponsered by Spaten, the same sponser for the Munich Oktoberfest! They featured the Chico Bavarian Band... and they are BIG! There was at least fifteen members with Tubas', Horns', Accordians' and some of the best yodelers. I have never been to a German festival and now that I have I am going to make it an annual event!

The food was true to the cuture too! Bratwursts, Sauerkraut, German Potato Salad, Smoked Pork Chops and Mustard... Soooo Good!

Probabley the best part is the songs... drinking songs! After a few songs the band leads a group "Toast".... or "Prost"! Which basically means "Cheers"!

For something fun to do at your next Beerfest, try this toast! If you do it properly you are supposed to get ten years added to you life, as the saying goes...

Ziggy Zuggy
Ziggy Zuggy

Oi! Oi! Oi!

Ziggy Zuggy
Ziggy Zuggy

Oi! Oi! Oi!

Prost!

Then take a nice long drink!

Wishing you a long drink and a good meal!

Hello! I'm Lindsey!

This is my first official Blog! Ever! I am very excited about bringing all my ideas into the light. I am an artist and I just moved to a new town so I will be exploring various sides of what makes me love art, crafting, sewing, travel, food, music, movies, painting, the great outdoors and more! Hopefully this blog will not only be something interesting to read, but a way to be introduced to really awesome, new things! Woohoo!
